Soil Maps Online

This page is the starting point for gaining access to soil type maps of certain irrigation districts in NSW. This tool is part of a collection of tools aiming to provide irrigators with comprehensive decision making support that is being developed under the irriGATEWAY banner.

Soil Descriptions - detailed descriptions of all the soil types indicated on the maps

The maps are delivered in 2 different formats;

images (JPEG) - these can be downloaded and viewed on any computer
Google Earth KMZ files - download these and open them in Google Earth

The Soil Descriptions section allows you to read descriptions of each of the soil types indicated on the maps.
